What the app does

Baby Name A-Z helps two people find a name they both love. You swipe through names privately, save the ones you like, and — if you choose to connect with a partner — only the names you both liked are revealed to either of you. Equivalent spellings of the same name across cultures are grouped onto one card, so you decide once and pick the spelling you prefer.

The bundled catalogue holds 110,846 names across 175 countries and areas, shipped with the app so discovery stays fast and works offline.

Getting help

Email developer@dsinclairmoore.com. Please say which device and app version you are using — the version is at the bottom of the App Store or Play Store listing. I aim to reply within a few days.

Deleting your data

You do not need to contact anyone to delete your data:

• Settings → Reset all local data erases your shortlist, rankings, surname and settings from the device.
• Settings → Delete my cloud data erases everything held on the server for you, including the anonymous account the app signs in with.
• Disconnecting from a partner deletes the shared space for both of you.

Match notifications

Match alerts are optional and off by default. If you turn them on and stop receiving them, check that notifications are allowed for the app in your device settings — the app links straight to that screen when it detects they are blocked.

The privacy policy sets out exactly what the app stores, where, and for how long.
